Funeral Expense Reimbursement for Texas Flood Victims’ Families

July 18, 2025

Up to $10,000 in assistance from Samaritan’s Purse

In response to the devastating July 2025 floods in Central Texas, Christian humanitarian organization Samaritan’s Purse is offering up to $10,000 per victim to help grieving families cover funeral costs — either by reimbursing the family or paying the funeral home directly.

Support is offered whether funeral expenses have already been paid or are still pending. Families can apply directly or through their funeral home.

Who Is Eligible?

  • If funeral expenses have already been paid and the family does not plan to apply for FEMA assistance, they may submit a Funeral Expense Reimbursement form along with a funeral home receipt for approval and reimbursement.

  • If funeral expenses have not yet been paid, families may submit the form with a funeral home invoice, and Samaritan’s Purse will pay the funeral home directly.

Covered expenses include:

  • Funeral service costs
  • Burial plot expenses
  • Vault cost

How to Apply

A funeral home or family member may complete the Funeral Expense Reimbursement form and submit it with the required documentation. The primary family member responsible for arrangements must sign the form. Samaritan’s Purse will review the request, confirm the information, and process the payment accordingly.
