October 25, 2024

Waunakee, Wisconsin – October 25, 2024 – Tribute Technology, the leader in innovative website and software solutions for the funeral profession, announces a leadership transition as part of its continued commitment to drive growth and deliver cutting-edge services.

The company’s CEO, Charlie Cole, has mutually agreed with the Board of Directors to step down from his role. Tribute Technology thanks Charlie for his leadership and the significant contributions he made during his tenure.

The company will be led by Tribute Technology’s Board of Directors and an Office of the CEO, composed of key executives, including the newly appointed President of Commercial Markets Courtney Gould Miller and Chief Technology Officer Matt Powell, along with the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Financial Officer. This experienced leadership team will ensure stability and guide Tribute Technology through its next phase of innovation and growth.

“During this transition, our leadership team remains focused on executing our technology roadmap and delivering on our strategic priorities,” said Gould Miller. “We are committed to providing exceptional service and support to our clients while continuing to invest in best-in-class technology that positions funeral homes to become digital brands in their communities.”

Gould Miller brings a lifetime of experience in the funeral profession, first leading MKJ Marketing as Chief Strategy Officer and then joining Tribute Technology’s Executive Leadership Team in 2022. As Chief Customer & Marketing Officer at Tribute Technology, she has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth, elevating its brand, and developing customer-focused innovations like the award-winning AI Obituary Writer. Now, as President of Commercial Markets, she will lead strategic initiatives to expand the company’s market presence and deliver more of what funeral professionals need to meet the changing demands of consumers.

Tribute Technology’s executive team has also announced a significant investment of more than $5 million over the next year to enhance the company’s technology, operations, and customer service. This investment aligns with the company’s mission to deliver thoughtful innovation and support its customers in elevating their businesses.

“The customer feedback we received at NFDA, the Selected Independent Funeral Homes Annual Meeting, and our recent MKJ Marketing Summit highlighted the importance of digital transformation in today’s funeral profession,” said Gould Miller. “Our top priority will always be delivering the highest quality service and cutting-edge solutions to our funeral home partners.”

Tribute Technology remains dedicated to empowering funeral homes through its innovative solutions and exceptional customer experience, ensuring it remains the operating system of choice for funeral service professionals.
