Funeral Service Foundation Receives $100,000 Technology-Focused Donation from the Tribute Technology Foundation

Investment will fund grief resources, digital accessibility, and professional recruitment

Brookfield, WI — The Funeral Service Foundation will receive a substantial donation from the Tribute Technology Foundation, which will be officially acknowledged at the National Funeral Directors Association International Convention & Expo in September.

Tribute Technology, an innovative leader within the deathcare industry, serves over 9,000 funeral homes, cemeteries, and cremation businesses across North America. The company created the Tribute Technology Foundation to provide support to the funeral profession and the community members they serve through charitable contributions in key areas.

“In the deathcare industry, we are all in this together. Funeral directors serve families, and Tribute provides state-of-the-art technology to alleviate unnecessary stress for funeral professionals, making their tech systems easier to use so they can focus on what matters most,” said Tribute Technology Chief Customer Officer Courtney Gould Miller. “Everything we do at Tribute Technology is focused on what will best support funeral professionals and the families they work so hard to serve every day. We are proud to partner with the Funeral Service Foundation to invest in the important work they are already doing to support funeral professionals.”

This donation will fund specific aspects of the Foundation’s work, including the development of new grief resources focusing on deaths related to drug overdoses and suicide. Another aspect of the donation will include investment into recruiting the best and brightest into the funeral service profession. In addition, this donation will fund upgrades in digital accessibility for the Foundation, making its technology more responsive for all professionals who utilize its resources.

"This gift is appreciated and especially meaningful as it helps fund resources and programs that make a significant impact in so many communities," said Jedd Lapid, Executive Director of the Funeral Service Foundation. "The Funeral Service Foundation and Tribute's Foundation missions are aligned in how we serve all of funeral service."
